Privacy Policy

7 October 2019

We’ve created this website to help you understand why we think this is an important fight and to give you a chance to help us out. We collect a limited amount of data in order to achieve this goal. When we say “we” we mean Lessig and the administrative team supporting him in this effort.

What personal data we collect:

We collect your email address, if you share it with us, in order to send you updates on our work. Your email address is not used for any other purpose.

If you chose to donate using the links provided, we receive some information from the donation site — Stripe.com — about you. What information is governed by their privacy policy so you should read it here.

When we share your personal data:

We will never rent or sell your email address or any other information we receive from you. We will never share it at all, unless we have a good faith belief it is required by law, such as pursuant to a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order.

We may use a service provider to help us manage the sending to you of emails. They can not use your email for any other purpose than to provide this service to us.

Data storage:

All personal data is transferred to and stored in the US. We use reasonable business methods to keep it secure. But we, like all entities, cannot guarantee its security. We will keep your data for as long as this campaign remains in effect unless you request we delete it as described below.

Data Rights:

You can stop receiving emails from us at any time by following the unsubscribe link in the emails we send. We will also consider this a deletion request and delete the email address we have for you from our records.

If we change this policy at any time we will let you know in advance by email and by updating this website.

If you have any questions, you can contact us at [email protected].
